FAQ

How can I attend one of the classes?

The class size is limited to a set number of students depending on the level. To book your spot you can either leave a message through the contact page here, or email selfsuspension@gmail.com. Please mention the date you would like to attend the class in the subject line.

 Where do you teach this?

All classes are held in a cosy, discrete, downtown studio designated to rope bondage and suspension arts. It is accessible by TTC.

Can I come alone or do I need to bring a partner?

All Tension classes are focused on self-tying for self-suspension. You do not require a partner to attend.

I do not have my own rope. Is there rope I can borrow?

Yes. The student rope is available at Level I and II. However, students will need to provide their own rope at higher levels. All the information about building and customizing your own rope kit will be presented in at the Level I class.

What should I wear?

Wear clothing you are comfortable in, and as much or as little of it as you like or bring something to change into. Be aware of the limitations of your clothing. Jeans or cargo pants are not very suitable as they will limit your movement. Form fitting clothing is more ideal. Loose-fitting clothing will get pinched and caught by the rope and make it more challenging to tie, especially while you still learning. You may like to choose dressing in layers, so if some of your clothes are not working well you have something you can strip down to.

Can I bring a snack?

Water will be provided. Students are welcome to bring their own snacks to have during the break or as a part of their aftercare kit. An overview of what to bring in your aftercare kit will be covered in class. Please be mindful of allergies. Do let us know if you have any!
